Fires After WWII

Most fires in Hamamatsu after WWII broke out in its urban area.

May. 5 stores in the south part of Yuraku-gai are burned down.
1954
March. 12 houses in Higashita-machi are burned down.
1954
Nishi High School is burned down.
1958
April. A fire breaks out in Higashi Police Station (Matsushiro-cho).
1960
Seibu Elementary School is burned down.
1961
Kabuki-za theater (Motouo-cho) is burned down.
1962
Hamamatsu-za theater (Chitose-cho) is burned down.
