Overview
The Ichino-shuku was a post station on the Hime-Kaido Road. It also worked as a horse station People would change houses here to carry on their way. It is believed the station served the function before 1639. The shutdown of the road in 1717 economically damaged the town greatly. There is a record that says 12 houses were burned down by the fire on September 7, 1812.
