Overview
Hirayama Hakuzo was the mayor of Hamamatsu for 20 years. While he was at the position, he achieved to construct Mikatahara Canal, to elevate the Toakido Railroad, and to establish Hamamatsu University School of Medicine. He was named honorary citizen of Hamamatsu City on July 1, 1987.
