Hamamatsu Tanabata Yukata Festival

During the festival, the downtown Hamamatsu is decorated with tanabata displays, such as bamboo branches hanging long narrow paper strips. The festival features exhibitions of yukata, casual summer kimono. Food stalls, musical events, and many other activities are also available.
 
*Tanabata is a Japanese traditional festival held on July 7 that celebrates the day two legendary lovers were allowed to meet once a year.
