Overview
It is a group of thousands of kofuns (burial mound) built during the late Kofun (6th - 7th centuries) to Asuka (593 - 710) periods. Many of them had the structure of horizontal stone chambers. They were made for powerful farmers and their families.

The excavations conducted in 2007 revealed many lavish funerary goods including magatama (comma shaped beads) and glass beads.
